is a cabaret concert created by Jack Nadel and performed by Joel Silberman to assist non-profit organizations to raise funds. Through music, the universal language, we will help to put the FUN INTO FUNDRAISING. The show is provided at no charge to selected charities and educational institutions.
MISSION STATEMENT
Almost every city in the United States is having a crisis in fundraising. In each community, a few people represent major contributions to the arts, music, healthcare and the environment. There is a common problem in getting the entire community involved and particularly in bringing up the next generation of philanthropists. There is also great concern that music and art, as we know it is on the decline. In many instances, classical music and theatre are in danger of becoming extinct. One of the most important means of communication through our society is endangered. The common language of music, theatre, the arts, and concern for our fellow man must be preserved if we are to survive as a civilized nation.
Many solutions are being offered, but the ideas for fundraising have become repetitive, causing a decline in enthusiasm for attending fundraising events. KEEP THE MUSIC PLAYING is just one small idea that we hope will snowball into a swelling of enthusiasm and response.
We believe that most people would like to be entertained as they become more emotionally involved with the need to raise funds. We feel that music is the universal language and contains within its body all the parts of drama, caring, laughter, and a general feeling of well-being. The first effort of KEEP THE MUSIC PLAYING is AN EVENING WITH JOEL.
It is a one-man musical revue with observations that reflect the wonders as well as the traumas in our society of the 21st century. It must be entertaining and uplifting and it has been created as an integral part of the fundraising event.
